Nurse Claimed Disability Discrimination Following FMLA Leave; Case Settled

Plaintiff tore her ACL in a non-work related incident and alleged that she filed for, and was granted, FMLA leave. Plaintiff claimed she then sought additional leave for treatment and surgery, but was not provided reasonable accommodation and was unable to return to work. Plaintiff contended that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found disability discrimination in her termination.

The case was settled on Feb. 8, 2012.
