Patient Claims She Broke Bone, Not Provided Medical Care for Two Days

A former Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater patient alleges she broke her left femoral neck after suffering a severe fall at the facility. She claims facility staff failed to discover the injury or provide medical care until two days following the incident. She further claims that “Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater, its agents, employees, and/or persons under its supervision and control…were negligent…and breached the acceptable standard of care by failing to provide Ms. Riley with the necessary care and services in order to reduce her foreseeable risk of falls in accordance with the standard of care.”

The case is ongoing as of July 2014, with the trial scheduled to take place in January 2015.
